Some must have of the year
Logitech Powershell
Probably the best designed gaming controller for the iPhone we’ve seen so far, the Logitech Powershell is made solid, with a rubbery surface that’s comfortable to hold. It’s also sturdy and compact enough to be stored loosely in a bag or pocket. The Powershell is built to slot the iPhone directly inside, without having to pull the controller apart to fit it in (unlike the Moga Ace Power controller). The phone retains all of its independent functions while attached to the Powershell, and the headphone jack and lock button remain attainable so that users can listen to music and lock their phone at all times. Despite its great design, some reviewers have criticized the Powershell’s single D-pad and lack of analog sticks.
Philips Norelco QT4070 Vacuum Beard Trimmer
Beards are cool when they’re maintained, so getting an electric beard trimmer can assist you when it comes to styling, and is pretty helpful when it comes to the cleanup as well. Cleaning the sink every day can get annoying, so Philips added a vacuum to one of their powerful trimmers to save you the mess, which is really nice of them. Considering how expensive straight-blade razors are, buying a trimmer might not be a bad idea, and this one also saves you a lot of time on the cleanup.
Aeropress
$2 here, $3.50 there, buying a coffee every morning can cost you a fortune. With the Aeropress you are only spending about a week’s worth of coffee shop coffee to buy it, which will assist you in saving money. You simply place a spoonful of coffee in the tube, add hot water, then press down on the plunger. It’s just for one cup, so don’t worry about wasting a whole pot or using the wasteful Nespresso cups. It’s also really easy to clean, which means you can’t lose.

Sony SmartWatch 2
If you’re looking for a gadget to accessorize your smartphone, a smartwatch is a logical place to start. The Sony SmartWatch 2 is only one of many options, but its simplicity and good price point (it’s $100 cheaper than Samsung’s Galaxy Gear) make it a good pick. Like any worth-while watch, this model cleanly bridges the gap between functionality and style.
The SW2 comes equipped with a basic rubber band that can also be upgraded with a leather or metal alternative for added class. On the tech front, the watch comes with a 1.6 inch, sun-readable display that’s perfect for checking notifications, browsing media, and ...reading the time, obviously.
On a different note, we’re tremendously excited to see what the iWatch will offer when it is eventually released.

Waterpebble
Showering is an important start (or finish) to your day, but if you're
in the shower for 20, 30 or even more than 40 minutes you might be in
there a little long.
The Waterpebble assists you in saving both time and
money by monitorong your shower’s water flow and tells you when its
time to get out. Don’t worry, you are able to program the Waterpebble to
the length that you want, but keep in mind that longer showers rack up
the water bill. This cheap little gadget could end up saving you a bunch
if you shower excessively.
Mophie Space Pack
You can consider this gadget kind of a three-in-one -- a case, a
charger, and a storage provider. Despite adding a little extra bulk to
your iPhone 5/5s, the Mophie Space Pack is a great asset that makes up
for the iPhone 5’s somewhat-insufficient amount of built-in storage
(it’s not equipped with a micro SD card slot either). It works with a
free Space Pack app (available on iTunes) that easily allows you to take
advantage of the extra memory. It’s perfect for on-the-go users who
don’t have constant access to power sources or backup memory.
Misfit Wearables Shine
A refreshing take on previously existing fitness trackers, the Misfit Shine is a stylishly designed gadget that can be worn in a variety of ways. It’s great for daily use, as it is small and unintrusive -- so much so that some reviewers have said it is almost too easy to forget about! It relies on iOS systems to sync stats with a user’s phone, which compensates for the gadget’s minimalistic interface. Oh, and it has a four month battery life, compared to the Fitbit Force’s 7 to 10 day life. Not bad, if you want our opinion.
iPad Mini With Retina Display
In the growing tablet market, Apple continues to lead the pack. Sure, it has solid competition, like Google’s Nexus 7 and Amazon’s Kindle Fire HDX, but the iPad mini with Retina display tables a good offer. It’s more expensive than the others, but it’s equipped with a great deal of internal storage and an improved screen.
The only concern is that with Apple offering free iWork, iPhoto, iMovie, and GarageBand downloads, the basic 16GB model might not be enough for the average person -- but that doesn't stop us from including it on our list of Top 10 Gadgets for 2014.

Nest Learning Thermostat
With the expansion of the Internet in 2012 to include more IP addresses,
the "internet of things" or machine-to-machine technology is set to
boom and connect billions of electronics worldwide. Home appliances like
the Nest Learning Thermostat have already been hooked up to the
ecosystem that will connect all the world’s technology giving you more
control of how low to keep the heat -- and can assist you in lowering
your heating bill.
Besides its main function that lets you control the heat anywhere in your home from your smartphone, the Nest also comes with a humidity sensor to hook up to your humidifier/dehumidifier, has three temperature sensors and even a Wi-Fi radio. In addition, the stylish design puts any old white-box thermostat to shame. If you’re looking for a device that will help you save some money on your electricity bill, and would feel good about reducing a bit of your household’s carbon print, getting a smart thermostat would be a good investment.
